Suction Filters are filters mounted on the suction line (or immersed in the tank), immediately upstream of the pump.
Their primary role is to protect the pump from coarse contamination, preventing large impurities from entering and causing malfunctions. They generally operate at low pressure and also serve to ensure uniform flow distribution in the suction line.
