Heat Exchangers/Coolers are essential components installed in the hydraulic circuit, often on the return line, with the crucial objective of removing excess heat and maintaining the temperature of the hydraulic oil within the optimal operating range. They work by transferring thermal energy from the hot oil to a cooling medium (air or water).
There are two main types: air-oil exchangers (with fan and radiator core) for mobile and industrial applications where water is not available, and water-oil exchangers (shell-and-tube or plate-type) for maximum cooling efficiency.
By preventing overheating, they extend the life of the oil and components, ensuring system efficiency and reliability.
