Overgears (Revolution Multipliers) are gear reducers designed specifically for connecting hydraulic pumps to the power take-offs (PTOs) of agricultural tractors.
Since the standard output speed of a PTO is typically $\text{540 rpm}$ (revolutions per minute), much lower than the optimal speed for hydraulic pumps, the overgear is responsible for increasing the rotation speed to a speed suitable for pump operation (often up to $\text{3000 rpm}$).
